Watch out for royalty's shoes during the Battle of Flowers parade! At the Battle of Flowers parade, Fiesta Royalty could be seen showing off their comfy shoes. Shoe selection today is elaborate and customized, with everyone in the crowd calling out, "Show me your shoes!"

 

FIESTA MEDALS

 

Another long-standing tradition? Fiesta medals! Throughout Fiesta, attendees will wear as many medals as they can carry. A common joke is that you'll see people wearing their weight in medals fastened to garments like jackets, sashes, hats, and more. New medal designs are released annually by local businesses and organizations, enticing collectors to build their collections. Get started on your Fiesta medal collection or add to it during the celebration!

This year's Fiesta San Antonio is much more than an event, it's a collection of events and experiences that span the entire city. There will be a number of parades to see during the festival, including the Texas Cavaliers River Parade, the Battle of Flowers Parade, and the Fiesta Flambeau Parade.

Exhibition: Fiesta Exhibit: World of Inspiration

 

It will feature robes and trains from San Antonio families' Witte collection that tell the international story of Fiesta. Featuring spectacular and sparkling gowns spanning many eras and regions, these gowns will inspire and delight.

 

Taste of the Republic

 

The Fiesta Fiesta VIP culinary event is Taste of the Republic! The cuisine of 12 chefs represents the culinary regions of Texas. Throughout the chef stations, you can sample samples of cocktail and wine pairings representing Texas. The event is expected to sell out and tickets cannot be purchased at the door, so make sure you plan ahead!

 

Fiesta Oyster Bake

 

Lastly, for an exciting food event, check out the Fiesta Oyster Bake, which supports St. Marys University by raising money for its programs. About 100000 oysters will be served in the various forms of raw, fried, and baked at this volunteer-led event. You can also get chicken on a stick with jalapenos at this mouthwatering event.
